which was assigned to Walter Gordon.
 
56th Fighter Group in the UK

Crew chief on this 62nd FS P-47 was Albert Holliday.

The aircraft was transferred
to the 9th USAAF in mid 1944,
and a section of the cowling, complete with artwork
survives to this day.
