This memorial honours the victims of March 29th 1944
crash when two B-24 Liberators
collided and fell in the area of the Henham estate. While
rescue/recovery work was underway
the bomb load of one of the crashed aircraft exploded.
62nd FS pilot Stan Morrill and Cpl Benny Cala were amongst
those killed.
